The St. Charles Mothers' Club was founded in 1924 by Dr. Edith Lowry to provide mothers with guidance for the proper physical care of their babies. Since then it has evolved into a not for profit 501(c)3 organization that supports the community in many ways. In 2017, we transitioned to a Women's club to include all women to engage, empower, and enrich!
Working together to improve lives of others in our community
Philanthropy. Friendship. Fun.
The SCWC hosts several fundraisers each year to raise money to help out local charitable organizations as well as sponsor The Sherry Costello Scholarship Fund. Each year our Charitable Distributions Committee selects local organizations we want to partner with to empower our community. We have selected Project Mobility https://www.projectmobility.org Lazarus House https://lazarushouse.net and Embrace a Family http://embraceafamily.com to partner with for the 2017-2018 year.
The SCWC participates in many events throughout the year to benefit our community as well as bring about public awareness of our club. We frequently voluneteer and support the St. Charles Park District.
